Every 3-5 years the Jets go through the same cycle they are going through now, hiring new coaches and a GM so this is what I would do to ensure in 3-5 they are not doing this again.

To start the Jets have to go out and get their GM, and this cycle there are many really good options. Currently, the 4 main guys I would target are Mike Borgonzi, Ryan Grigson, Alec Halaby, and Brian Gaine. But if I were to pick from those 3 candidates I would choose former Colts GM Ryan Grigson.

Next, we have to fill out the coaching staff, and starting we have to hire the head coach, and I would hire Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. In 4 years in Detroit, he took a bottom 10 defense his first 2 years to a top 10 defense his most recent 2 years even with injuries killing the defense. He would also bring a strong culture that the Jets have lacked for a decade. For offensive coordinator, I am hiring Vikings QB Coach Josh McCown. McCown played for the Jets and was well respected in his time, he is also a young offensive-minded coach who helped coach Sam Darnold to his pro-bowl season he had this past year. For defensive coordinator, I would hire Lions Defensive line coach and run-game coordinator Terrell Williams who has worked with Aaron Glenn in their time in Detroit. 

In free agency, notable players I am letting walk are DJ Reed, Hasaan Reddick, Javon Kinlaw, Tyron Smith, Wes Schweitzer, Chuck Clark, Leki Fotu, and Leki Fotu. I am cutting/trading Devante Adams, CJ Mosley, Michael Clemons, and Allen Lazard. And players on expiring deals I am resigning, are Morgan Moses, Jalen Mills, Jamein Sherwood, Irv Charles, and Ashtyn Davis. I will also be keeping Aaron Rodgers as QB if he wants to continue playing

After getting the Jets players out of the way I now have $45,865,157 to spend on bringing in new players with trades and free agents. I am signing Bengals IDL BJ Hill to a 2 year $17 million deal, Ravens safety Marcus Williams 3 year $33, Panthers kickers Eddy Pineiro to a 1 year $2 million deal, 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw to a 2 year $12 million deal, and Jamison Crowder former Jets and current Commander wide receiver to a 1 year $1.5 million deal. While I am not doing any trades

In the 2025 NFL Draft with the 7th pick I’ll take Michigan CB Will Johnson to fill DJ Reed’s role, 38th pick I will take Ole Miss QB Jaxon Dart, 96th pick I will take Penn State safety Jaylen Reed, NDSU OT Grey Zabel with the 106th pick, Ty Robinson Nebraska IDL with the 145th pick, TE from Georgia Benjamin Yurosek with the 156th pick, Colin Oliver Oklahoma State LB with the 156th pick and with the my last pick at the 206 I am drafting Will Sheppard WR from Colorado.

The roster for 2025 on the offense starters will be QB Aaron Rodgers, RB Breece Hall, WR’s Garrett Wilson, Malachi Corley, Jamieson Crowder, Will Sheppard, TE Tyler Conklin, OT’s Olu Fashanu and Morgan Moses, OG’s John Simpson and Alijah-Vera Tucker, and Center Joe Tippmann.

On defense for 2025, the starters will be Edge’s Will McDonald IV and Jermaine Johnson II, IDL Quinnen William,s and BJ Hill, OLB Quincy Williams and Dre Greenlaw, MLB Jamaine Sherwood, CB’s Sauce Gaurdner, Will Johnson and Michael Carter II, and Safety's Jalen Mills and Marcus Freeman.

For special teams we have long snapper Thomas Hennessy, kicker Eddy Piniero, and punter Thomas Morstead. 

With this front office, roster, and coaching staff, I am confident that this team will be way more competitive team than they were in the past decade.
