Along with the head coaching search going on right now the Jets will also be looking for their General Manager and so far the Jets have interviewed 7 total candidates.
Thomas Dimitroff - Former Falcons GM
Thomas Dimitroff has experience written all over him, he was a scout for multiple NFL teams from 1993 to 2007 before he took the job as Falcons GM in 2008. Dimitroff was the Falcon GM from 2008 to 2020 and in that span, the Falcons went 109-88, had 6 playoff appearances, a Super Bowl appearance, and was the 2008 Executive of the Year. In his time as GM, he drafted MVP Matt Ryan and Julio Jones who are 2 of the best players in Falcons history.
Jon Robinson - Former Titans GM
Jon Robinson as the Titans GM was the GM who established one of the best NFL teams in his time with the Titans from 2016-2022. Robinson started his NFL executive career with the Patriots when he was a scout from 2002 until 2012, then he became the Director of Player Personnel in Tampa Bay before he was hired in 2016 as GM of the Titans. In his time in Tennessee, his team went 66-48, bringing in key players like Derrick Henry, Kevin Byard, Ryan Tannehill, and Jack Conklin.
Jim Nagy - Senior Bowl Executive
The third person the Jets interviewed was Senior Bowl Executive Jim Nagy. Before becoming the Executive Director of the Senior Bowl in 2018 he was an intern with the Packers in 1996 and a long-time NFL scout with the Redskins, Patriots, Chiefs, and Seahawks from 2001-2018, in that span he won 4 Super Bowls.
Louis Reddick - ESPN analyst
A Louis Reddick interview shows that the Jets are casting a wide net for their GM opening. From 2001 to 2013 Reddick jumped around from being a Pro Scout and Director of Pro Personnel with the Eagles and the Redskins. In 2013, Reddick joined ESPN as an NFL and CFB analyst where he is still today.
Alec Halaby - Eagles Assistant GM
Alec Halaby is a long-time Eagles executive who got into the NFL in 2007 with the Eagles and has not left since then. Halaby started as an intern, then in 2010 he became a player personnel analyst, he then moved up in 2012 to become Special Assistant to the General Manager where he served until 2015. From 2016 to 2021 Halaby was the Vice president of football operations and strategy before he got moved up to assistant GM under Howie Roseman where he still holds the position.
Mike Borgonzi - Chiefs Assisant GM
Building a dynasty like the Chiefs starts at the front office, and Mike Borgonzi was right there building up the Chiefs dynasty. Borgonzi has been with the Chiefs ever since the start of his career as an NFL executive. He worked in the scouting department from 2007 to 2017 before working in player and pro football operations until 2020. Then in 2021, Borgonzi was hired as assistant GM and in that role, he won 2 Super Bowls.
Ray Farmer - Rams Senior Personnel Executive and former Browns GM
The most recent person the Jets interviewed was the current Rams senior personnel executive, Ray Farmer. Farmer started his time in the NFL as a scout with the Falcons from 2002 to 2005, from there he became the Chiefs Director of pro personnel until 2012 when he left the Clevland Browns assistant GM position then just 1 year later Farmer was hired as GM of the Browns where he served in 2014 and 2015. The Browns went 10-22 during his time and he was fired. Since then he became the Rams scouting consultant in 2020 before he was promoted to Senior Personnel Executive in 2021 where he serves now.
