Over the past 2 days, the Jets have officially interviewed 3 more candidates for the head coach opening.
The Jets have wrapped up their interviews with Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo, Lions DC Aaron Glenn, and Maryland University HC Mike Locksley.
Mike Locksley was a new name added to the Jets candidates list today and going out and interviewing him is showing the Jets want to leave no stone untouched this head coaching cycle.
Mike Locksley started his coaching career back in 1992 and since then he has jumped around from many different colleges like Towson State, Army, Navy Prep, Maryland, New Mexico, Illinois, and Alabama, mostly working on the offensive side of the ball.
After the 2018 season when Locksley was the Alabama OC, he became the Maryland HC, his second HC job. His first came with New Mexico where he finished 2-26 in 3 years. With the Terpins, Locksley has a 35-67 regular season record and a 3-0 postseason record in 3 bowl games.
The Jets have now reached out to a total of 15 candidates.
